yoomoot

ux project: yoomoot screenshot This is a web application I designed in collaboration with Barbara Nowacka to solve the problem of messy, repetitive and unproductive online discussions. For this we extensively researched existing solutions and created very detailed design documentation. This is an ongoing project and, because it deliberately deviates from the social media interfaces people are used to, usability testing is an important part of its development.

The Incredible Adventures of Chi

A multi-level adventure game in a setting which blends ancient Chinese myth and history. It was created in Flash for the Chinese Mental Health Association as part of their oral history project. Usability testing was an important part of its development.

'Worried about a child?' - Chinese/English information booklet

ux project: Front cover NSPCC information booklet; depicting young girl looking pensive In collaboration with a member of the Chinese Mental Health Association I designed this bilingual Chinese/English information booklet for the NSPCC, the Wai Yin Chinese Women Society and the Chinese in Britain Forum. Because of the sensitive subjective matter and in order to ensure that the booklet connected to its target readership – the UK's Chinese community – it was a very 'user experience' focused project, involving interviews and a form of usability testing.
